Tab Wrangler

Overview
I had the opportunity to redesign the visual identity and marketing images for Tab Wrangler, a browser extension that helps users manage their tabs on Chrome and Firefox. The goal was to give it a fresh, modern look.

Challenge
Tab Wrangler wanted a logo that was modern, recognizable, and clear, even at a small size, since it would double as the browser extension icon. On top of this, it needed to show indicators for different tab statuses (e.g., paused, locked).

Approach
In order to ensure clarity, I focused on simple shapes and lines. After a sketching phase exploring many options, and whittling that down to present to the client, I arrived at something we were both happy with. A logo that combines the initials with a subtle lasso or hat, nodding to the “Wrangler” theme. The logo is not only visually appealing but also functional, making it easy to update with status indicators.
For the color palette and marketing images, Tab Wrangler wanted something dark. This aligns with some of the current tech design trends, and helps give it a sleek, contemporary feel. I aimed for a simple illustrative style that’s both modern and engaging. The result is a cohesive visual identity that feels approachable yet bold.
